AIPP Vision:

Paramedic Practitioners, and Paramedics with primary healthcare skills: improving the quality of community health care.

AIPP Mission:

The Australian Institute of Paramedic Practitioners (AIPP) will create pathways for Paramedics Practitioners, and paramedics with primary healthcare skills, to practice to their professional capabilities in the Australasian Healthcare system.

AIPP also aims to establish educational and practice standards for these specialist paramedics.

AIPP Values:

  • Collaborative:
    • We acknowledge the valuable contribution of all health professionals and recognise that healthcare requires collaborative team leaders, followers, and patient centred and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Courageous:
    • As paramedics we are confident in our established role as acute and community-based healthcare providers. With additional primary healthcare skills, we now have the courage to bring our established and developing skills sets to various areas of the healthcare system.
  • Flexible:
    • As paramedics we regularly respond to a wide variety of complex challenges and recognise our ability to constantly adapt and adjust to these challenges. This flexibility is a hallmark of paramedic practice, and we will continue to be flexible and adaptable as we contribute to new models of clinical practice.

AIPP Purpose:

  • For AIPP to become the Peak Professional Body that represents Paramedic Practitioners, and other Paramedics with PHC skill set. AIPP will develop, lead and advocate for these specialist Paramedics and provide strategic direction for this specialist Paramedic role.
